One of the more interesting cases in which Mr. Winer was involved was a case in which a woman was gored to death while on a photographic safari in Africa. The case resulted in a settlement of $950,000 against the travel agency who arranged the trip and mislead the woman and her husband about the risks involved and the amount of protection that would be afforded during the safari.
